Balmacaan Dugdale Bros & Co. Dead-stock Tweed.
The Balmacaan derives its name from the vast verdant estates of the Scottish nobility. Its practical charms built for inclement weather; a shield to the biting cold and damp.
Simple and refined, with a flowing drape and generous length, ours is made in England from a stout sporting tweed from Yorkshire millers Dugdale’s. The traditional Raglan sleeve offers unparalleled movement, while the Prussian collar can be flipped up against the elements. The covered fly fastening features real horn buttons and finished with hand-sewn buttonholes.
Dugdale's 6144 cloth is from their Heritage Sporting Collection, designed to be a "hardworking Cloth" - robust in nature, with a traditional water-resistant finish. This cloth has now been discontinued, and we were lucky enough to purchase the entirety of the bolt.Â
