Lined ‘Van Wert’ Jacket Caramel

Inspired by the iconic FFA jacket, designed in 1933 by Dr. Gus Lintner of Frederickton, Ohio as a uniform for the Future Farmers of America Association members, our ‘Van Wert’ jacket pays tribute to an iconic piece of American farming and workwear history.
Originally made by Universal Uniform Co. of Kansas City, its classic zip fronted blouson model earned it’s place in vintage workwear history as a practical piece of workwear uniform, iconic in it’s navy corduroy, chain-stitched names and FFA patch on the back.
Our ‘Van Wert’ Jacket has been updated for winter in a caramel corduroy and features a soft olive brushed cotton flannel lining to keep breezes at bay.
Made in Okayama, it sits neat and boxy, with a relaxed sleeve and button cuff, finished with a solid brass and cotton tape Universal Zip from Japan.
